Ram Temple: Wheels of Worship: Huge 200-car rally organized in US ahead of Ram Mandir consecration

In a vibrant mix of faith and unity, over 200 cars adorned with Hindu symbols and saffron colour flags held a grand rally across Houston, Texas, US. . This unique event was organized by the Indian-American community to express their excitement and devotion ahead of the upcoming consecration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on January 22, 2024.
The convoy visited 11 temples amid chants of ‘Jai Shri Ram’. More than 500 riders, carrying saffron flags featuring the Ram temple, Indian flag, and US flag, participated in the rally, forming nearly a 5-km line of 216 cars escorted by eight policemen on bikes.
Initiated at Sri Meenakshi Temple and concluding at Sri Sharad Amba Temple in Richmond, the procession covered 160 km and stopped at eleven temples over six hours, crisscrossing Houston’s busy roadways.

Around 2,000 devotees welcomed the procession at the temples with bhajans, expressing overwhelming devotion. The rally, a unique event, was organized by Houston volunteers Achalesh Amar, Umang Mehta, and Arun Mundra.
The organizers presented temple officials with a beautifully crafted invitation basket containing formal invitations, sacred rice from Ayodhya, ‘Ram Parivar,’ ‘Gangajal,’ a copy of Sundar Kand, and sweets, requesting their participation in the Pran Pratishtha Mahotsav of Shri Ram Lalla Mandir.
After years of anticipation, the special ceremony for the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is happening on January 22, 2024. This seven-day event will end with placing the sacred idol of Lord Ram in the main part of the grand temple.
