RE Guerrilla 450 launch on July 17: What to expect from Harley 440X, Triumph twins rival

Royal Enfield is gearing up to add another feather to its hat as it prepares to launch another product to spice up the highly-competitive, mid-range motorcycle market with the debut of the Guerrilla 450 on July 17th. The company’s MD, Sid Lal, recently released teaser pictures on social media for the Guerrilla 450. This will be RE’s second 450cc motorcycle after the Himalayan 450.Here, let’s take a look at what we can expect from this motorcycle.
The Guerrilla 450 has been spotted multiple times on Indian roads recently. Spy shots and the teaser images reveal it features a single pod instrument cluster similar to the Himalayan 450, a round LED headlight, round rear view mirrors, a muscular fuel tank, a floating tail section featuring a single-piece seat. It also comes with alloy wheels, tubeless tyres, and rubber-gaiter telescopic forks, replacing the USD fork unit found on the Himalayan 450.

Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450: Engine
Additionally, the Guerrilla 450 will use the same Sherpa 450 engine as the Himalayan. In the adventure tourer, the 452cc single-cylinder engine belts out 40 hp and 40 Nm of torque and comes paired with a 6-speed gearbox. However, we can expect the Guerrilla 450 to come with a different state of tune to suit the characteristics of the motorcycle.
This new model is anticipated to challenge the Harley-Davidson 440X and the popular Triumph Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X. Other rivals in the affordable mid-capacity segment also include the Mavrick 440.
