Reliance Jio has announced that it is setting up the Jio 5G Lab that will enable enterprises as well as startups to develop 5G use cases on Jio’s 5G network. The telecom giant is also building the Jio True 5G Developer Platform to help ease the way Indian enterprises, small businesses, and technology start-ups interact with the digital world.
“Today, we are also announcing the Jio True5G Lab, a facility designed to accelerate industry transformation using Jio True5G,” said Akash Ambani, the chairman of Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIL) at the 46th Annual General Meet (AGM).
He said that with this facility, the company’s technology partners and enterprise customers will be able “to develop, test and co-create multiple industry-specific solutions.”
“The inaugural Jio True5G Lab will be located at the Reliance Corporate Park, acting as the nerve centre for shaping India’s 5G future,” he added.
