Rihanna Said We’re Doing Streaky Highlights for Summer — See Photos

If Rihanna‘s hair had a motto, it would be “expect the unexpected.” She’s the first to admit that she gets bored quickly and easily, recently saying, “You know how much switching my hair up matters to me,” when she announced the launch of Fenty Hair on Instagram. And as fun as it may be for her to jump from look to look, it’s even more fun for us to get a constant influx of style and color inspiration. The latest? Serious length with Y2K-esque highlights.

We’re still reeling from Rihanna’s big crop reveal at the Fenty Hair launch event, where she showed off her close-cropped, caramel curls. After weeks of long hair in varying shades of blonde, it was the last thing we were expecting. And now, a little more than a week later, the superstar and entrepreneur has returned to a lengthy look — but it’s nothing like her springtime style.

Rihanna flew to Paris to attend the A$AP Rocky X American Sabotage by AWGE Menswear Spring/Summer 2025 fashion show, where she sat front-row in an oversized puffy coat, bare legs, and studded patent leather heels. But if you thought her pixie cut would be the finishing touch of the chic ensemble, think again.

Her hair was blown out and ironed into a stick-straight style, parted in the middle with bangs draping over one eye. And when she told us she was already over being blonde, she apparently wasn’t kidding, because she’s now sporting a cool-tone brown shade. She hasn’t completely let go of the blonde yet, though, because her hair is accented with stripy highlights reminiscent of early-2000s color trends.
