International pop superstar Rihanna has seemingly picked up the taste for Indian high jewellery. The singer, who was in the country in March for her big performance at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant‘s pre-wedding party in Jamnagar, made her first major appearance at the launch of her haircare line and opted for stunning Indian jewellery to add some bling and sparkle to her look for the evening.
The singer, known for her bold fashion choices, opted for an all-red look and topped it off with ruby, tourmaline and diamond statement pieces by Indian designers Sabyasachi Mukerji and Manish Malhotra. The star blended the stunning choker by Malhotra with the drop chain by Sabyasachi. The statement pieces paired with her chic ensemble beautifully blended tradition and contemporary styles.

Manish shared a close-up shot of the choker and said, “The global Icon Rihanna, stuns in our Ruby Choker, crafted in 18k gold and custom-cut rubies encrusted in diamonds, exuding Indian craftsmanship and artistry.”
Sabyasachi also shared photos of his piece and wrote, “Rihanna wears a three drop rubellite, tourmaline and brilliant cut diamond necklace from Sabyasachi High Jewellery for the launch of Fenty Hair in Los Angeles.”

Rihanna completed her look with a huge ruby and diamond ring.

Photos from the event soon went viral online with fans going gaga over her look for the evening. At the event, RiRi also teased that her 9th studio album may just be in the works. In a viral video she says, “This is probably the longest I’ve ever taken to create something. No, I lied, that’s R9.”

Rihanna, who performed at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding party in March, was adorned in jewellery by famed Indian designers for the big gig. While she performed on-stage in a number of statement necklaces and choker chains, she was seen catching her flight back home wearing one of the intricate pieces that she proudly showed off while posing for photos.
