Roaring Mishap: When a Ferrari F8 met its fiery fate on the farm

Popular YouTuber WhistlinDiesel, known for the destruction of luxury vehicles, has yet again fulfilled his ‘wish’. This time, like he said, it happened as an accident when his Ferrari F8 burnt to ashes on camera when he took it for a spin beyond the tarmac – somewhere sports cars aren’t meant to be.
The incident took place while the YouTuber was cruising at high speed through a cornfield in Texas. During the run, the 710 hp speedster couldn’t bear the harvested dry crop that got stuck in its face and the rear wheels. As a result, the hot exhaust and the dry crop started a fire immediately, soon gulping the rear mid-engined supercar’s red hot bay, pun intended.
Cody Detwiler, the YouTuber, escaped the car unhurt. However, the trouble doesn’t end here as the man’s crew attempts to extinguish the fire with whatever they had at their disposal, their other mover, a rental Chrysler Pacifica too catches fire and meets the same fiery fate.

The Ferrari F8 Tributo draws its power from a twin-turbocharged, 3.9-litre, V8 engine that belts out 710 hp. It is mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission.
While the YouTuber didn’t want to destroy his supercar, at least not in this way, it has again sparked the debate why sports cars are not meant for off-roading. Besides the risks of supercars’ incapable suspension for off-roading and the risks of rolling over, there is the risk of fire. They often have high-performance engines that can overheat if they are driven too hard off-road. This can lead to a fire, which can quickly engulf the entire vehicle, like what happened here.
