It’s not known how the pair met, but sources told New Idea that after grabbing burgers and fries the pair headed to the beach to eat and have a cuddle as the sun set.
Scarlett Buckley, 18, and identical twin sister, Rorie, are believed to be the nieces of late Aussie actor Heath Ledger, New Idea reports.
In 2018, they were pictured with Heath Ledger’s sister Kate at an Australians in Film Heath Ledger scholarship dinner in Los Angeles, California.
Last month, Robert Irwin admitted that sister Bindi was pressuring him to start dating so it would take “some of the heat” off her.
Recent rumours that he was dating new Blue Wiggle, Lucia Field, appear to have been off the mark.
Earlier this year, the teenager wowed his fans with a major “glow-up” for Stellar magazine.
When he posted the slick and sophisticated images to social media, the fans went wild.
“Well, this was definitely something different, being asked to feature on the cover of Australia’s Stellar Magazine!” he wrote.
“Well, howdy doody handsome lad,” singer Amy Shark said.
One fan observed how “all of a sudden little Robert is now a man”.
“The way I’m going to need several years to recover from this magazine cover/ spread of Robert Irwin,” another wrote.
In the accompanying interview, Irwin admitted that growing up without his father Steve – who died in 2006 – had been “really hard”.
The son of the late Crocodile Hunter was only two years old when his father died, aged 44, after a stingray’s barb pierced his chest.
“Because I am sort of stepping into adulthood, having turned 18, and navigating that is hard enough [but] when you are in my situation, and you don’t have a father figure to guide you through, it’s really hard,” he said.
The zookeeper – who has actively carried on his father’s wildlife conservation legacy – shared that while this aspect of his life was important, he also planned to pursue his own passions.
The youngest Irwin has a keen interest in photography, often sharing his work on his Instagram @robertirwinphotography.
“I want to forge my own path and I’m really passionate about photography,” Irwin said.
