Rode announced the Wireless ME wearable microphone last April and has today debuted a new dual transmitter version of the popular audio solution.

The dual transmitter version of the Wireless ME, what Rode calls “the ultimate grab-and-go wireless mic for content creators,” ships with two transmitters and one receiver and is available in either black or white — coincidentally a very similar package to the Mic 2 that DJI announced earlier today.

As a refresher on the Wireless ME, it includes Rode’s high-end audio features, including its Series IV 2.4GHz digital transmission and universal compatibility with cameras, smartphones, and computers. It also features Rode’s GainAssist technology that promises to control audio levels automatically on the fly using “intelligent algorithms.” Rode promises professional audio quality without the need to make any manual adjustments.

“It is also the only wireless microphone with a mic built into the receiver for recording audio from in front of and behind the camera simultaneously, making it ideal for capturing interviews or voiceovers for video content,” Rode adds in its press release.

The Rode Wireless ME has a transmission range of over 100 meters and promises up to seven hours of battery life with its built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery. It is compatible with Rode’s video and audio apps, including Rode Capture, Rode Connect, and Rode Reporter. It is also compatible with all Rode Series IV devices, including the Wireless GO II, Wireless PRO, Rodecaster Duo, Rodecaster Pro II, and Streamer X.

The dual transmitter version of the Rode Wireless ME allows creators to record two subjects simultaneously, or even three, when the built-in receiver mic, dubbed the ME mic, is activated. Plus, Rode says that the new white colorway is ideal for those who often wear lighter-colored clothing, as the white version will blend in better than the black mic when attached to shirts or jackets. The new white Wireless ME follows suit with Rode’s relatively new limited edition white product series.

The dual Wireless ME will be available this spring for $199.
