NEW DELHI: Rohtak is one of the 10 Lok Sabha (parliamentary) constituencies in Haryana. It is a General category parliament seat. This constituency covers the entire Rohtak and Jhajjar districts and part of Rewari district.
According to the 2011 census, Rohtak had population of 1,061,204 of which males were 568,479 and remaining 492,725 were females.Average literacy rate was 80.22.

The Rohtak Lok Sabha constituency in Haryana is set to witness a rematch between BJP’s Arvind Sharma and Congress’ Deepender Hooda, who had previously faced off in a closely contested battle in 2019. Rohtak has long been considered a bastion of the Hooda family, with former chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and his son Deepender Hooda, who served as the MP from Rohtak for three consecutive terms.
Despite his strong connection to the constituency, Deepender Hooda is currently serving as a member of the Rajya Sabha, the Upper House of the Indian Parliament.
