The Sydney Roosters have announced the signing of Broncos outside back Daley Copley for the remainder of the season.
Copley joined the Broncos from the Titans at the start of the year, but has featured in just two games in 2021.
It’s understood the Broncos granted the 30-year-old veteran an early release to link-up with the Roosters, the club where he played 14 games during the 2016 season.
“Dale is a player we know well, so it was a really simple decision to welcome him back to the Roosters and we’re excited to have him here,” said Roosters head coach Trent Robinson.
Copley will now join the Tricolours at their hub on the Sunshine Coast.
The signing comes following injuries to outside backs Brett Morris (ACL/retired), Billy Smith (foot), Joseph Suaalii (foot) and Matt Ikuvalu (ankle).
To date, Copley has played 146 NRL games, with the bulk of them played at the Titans and Broncos.
He played 72 games for Brisbane between 2009-2015 and 57 games for the Titans from 2017-2020.
