Rosamund Pike channeled her inner Elspeth Catton at the 2024 Golden Globes.
The actor looked like she walked straight out of Saltburn and onto the red carpet in fall 2019 Dior couture. Pike, who was nominated for her role as the film’s aristocratic matriarch, dressed in a look befitting the film’s last act (for the spoiler averse: don’t Google it).
Pike wore a strapless black lace, tea-length dress over a fishnet mock neck long-sleeve with floral lace appliqué. Contrasting the original gladiator sandals that walked the runway, the actor opted for a pair of black open-toed platforms with an ankle strap. (In a nice touch, Pike matched her black toenails to her outfit.) She finished off her look with diamond peacock feather rings and pear drop earrings.
While Dior styled the model in a black fishnet veil, Pike opted for a more dramatic piece of headwear with opaque lace appliqué and a petite bow sitting atop her head. But the actor admitted that her choice of headwear was just as protective as it was fashionable. “I had an accident over Christmas actually,” she said on the red carpet. “On the 26th of December my face was entirely smashed up and I thought I need to do something.”
Thankfully, she healed up quicker than expected, but Rosamund Pike still delivered a masterclass in function and fashion at the Golden Globes.
