Samsung is already on launch spree. The company has recently launched the Galaxy A15 series and Galaxy A25 and it is already gearing up to launch the Galaxy S24 series in January next year.
In the meanwhile, the company is also expected to launch the Galaxy A55, the successor of the Galaxy A54 soon. Samsung Galaxy A55 is said to bring several improvements in terms of design, features over the previous generation.
Galaxy A55 to be powered by new Exynos 1480 chip
In the recent news, details about the Galaxy A55’s chipset has surfaced online. According to the report, the handset will be powered by a new Exynos 1480 chipset which is expected to offer better multi-core performance over the Exynos 1380 from the Galaxy A54.
Apart from this, the chipset has been spotted on Geekbench listing which reveals that it has scored 1180 points in single-core test and 3536 points in multi-core test. Compared to the Exynos 1380’s 1,108 points and 2,797 points, the new chip appears to offer better performance.
Exynos 1480 chipset: What we know so far
Samsung Exynos 1480 chip, according to the previous report, has four high-performacne CPU cores clocked at 2.75GHz and four power-efficent cores clocked at 2.05GHz. Also, it is expected to come with RDNA2-based Xclipse 530 GPU.
This GPU is expected to offer better performance compared to the Mali GPU that came with Exynos 1380. At the moment, exact details about the GPU are unknown, but we will get to know more when Samsung will make the chip official.
Other specifications of the phone ncludes support for 50MP primary camera, a 12MP ultra wide camera. Also, the phone is expected to come with IP68 water and dust resistant rating.
