The Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ come with Galaxy AI features, similar to the Galaxy S24 Ultra. Apart from this, the phones now also feature a 1-120Hz adaptive display panel with improved brightness and Vision booster technology.
In addition to the new set of features, Samsung has also made some changes to the RAM and storage configurations of both phones. The Galaxy S24 retains the 8GB RAM, but it is now available with up to 512GB of storage.
Galaxy S24+, on the other hand, now defaults to 12GB RAM, instead of 8GB. Moreover, the phone comes with 256GB as the base storage.
Price and availability
Samsung Galaxy S24 is available in three variants — 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB and 8GB + 512GB. The price starts at $799.
The Galaxy S24+ price starts at $999 and comes in two variants — 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB.
Key features
Samsung Galaxy S24 features a 6.2-inch FHD+ display, while the Galaxy S24+ boasts a 6.7-inch QHD+ display. Both the phones support a 1-120Hz Adaptive Refresh Rate. Also, both the panels are Dynamic AMOLED 2X.
Powering the phones is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform for Galaxy. Samsung says these chips have been tuned to offer better performance on the Galaxy S24 series phones.
In terms of cameras, the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ come with the same sensors. The phones are equipped with a 50MP primary camera with OIS, a 12MP ultra-wide camera and a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. There’s a 10MP dual-pixel camera at the front for selfie duties.
Samsung Galaxy S24 is backed by a 4000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support and the Galaxy S24+ is equipped with a bigger 4900mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. Also, both the phones support 15W wireless fast charging and wireless powershare.
In terms of software, both the Galaxy smartphones run One UI 6.1 based on the Android 14 operating system and both are set to get seven years of software and security updates.
