As the launch event for Samsung’s Galaxy S24 series is drawing near, new details about the upcoming phones are coming out. The Galaxy S24 series is expected to make its debut on January 17.
On X (formerly Twitter), a user named @MysteryLupin has shared an excerpt from some marketing materials that showcase several key features of the Galaxy S24 series. One of these features is the Live Translate feature that uses AI to translate a phone call, which Samsung has previously announced.
Another feature mentioned in the leaked materials is the “Generative Edit” feature. According to Samsung’s description, this feature will allow users to move or remove objects and fill in space. However, this feature requires a Samsung account login and an internet connection. This feature sounds very similar to Google’s Magic Editor on the Pixel 8 series, which also requires an internet connection and Google Photos backup.
One thing to note is that despite the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3’s on-device AI capabilities, Samsung still requires an internet connection for this feature. The leaked materials state that the feature will be supported across all three Galaxy S24 devices.
There’s a feature expected, called “Nightography Zoom” that will enhance the low-light photos when zoomed in. Additionally, the “High Resolution” feature is likely hinting towards the 200MP main camera of the Galaxy S24 Ultra. The “Screen Display” feature appears to be unfinished language and only mentions a “brighter, flatter screen” that gives users more space to do what they love.
Notable tipster Ice Universe has also tipped that the Galaxy S24 Ultra may offer 4k video recording at 120fps. However, the 4K 120fps recording is reportedly under testing and may or may not be available on the release.
