Despite the good numbers, there’s no denying that it did see a small drop in numbers estimated at Rs 25 lakh. On Wednesday, March 13, 2024, ‘Shaitaan’ recorded an overall Hindi occupancy rate of 13.08%, with the highest occupancy observed during night shows at 18.91%.
The thriller was off to an impressive start at the box office, garnering Rs 17.75 crore on its opening day. The momentum continued with collections of Rs 18.75 crore on the second day and a record-breaking Rs 20.5 crore on the third day, marking the highest single-day collection for the film.
However, following its stellar start, ‘Shaitaan’ experienced a decline in collections during the working weekdays, with collections of Rs 7.25 crore on the fourth day and Rs 6.5 crore on the fifth day. The film’s total earnings now stand at an estimated Rs 74 crore in India alone.
Globally, ‘Shaitaan’ amassed a staggering Rs 96 crore nett. According to reports, its gross figures have already crossed Rs 100 crore mark at the worldwide box office.
‘Shaitaan’ is currently the third-highest-grossing film of 2024, after Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone‘s ‘Fighter’ and Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon‘s ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’.
With expectations of further growth in numbers over the coming days, the film is poised to achieve significant milestones in the international market.
