Sharvari Wagh, who made her theatrical debut with Yash Raj Films’ ‘Bunty Aur Babli 2’ with Rani Mukerji, Saif Ali Khan and Siddhant Chaturvedi, is gearing up for the release of ‘Munjya’. It’s been a long wait to see her on-screen again post ‘Bunty Aur Babli 2’, but Sharvari has the most interesting line-up ahead. In a chat with ETimes, she discusses her upcoming movies, including a spy film with Alia Bhatt.
Post ‘Munjya’, Sharvari has ‘Maharaj’ with Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat, which is an OTT release. On the other hand, after all the speculations, Sharvari has finally admitted that she’s a part of the YRF spy universe movie with Alia Bhatt. She also plays the titular role in ‘Vedaa’ with John Abraham. The actress opens up on her excitement for her upcoming movies and says, “I want to be one of those actresses that people can’t recognise on screen with any new character. I want to surprise people and it’s a very conscious decision. So, ‘Munjya’ is a horror comedy, that people have never seen me in before. ‘Vedaa’ is a titular role which has a lot of responsibilities on my shoulder. It’s a social drama with Nikkhil Advani, who is one of the best directors in our country.”
Talking about the spy universe film, Sharvari expresses, “I’m doing the spy universe film with Alia. She’s my favourite actor, so what do I say? It’s a big commercial spy universe film. These are all very different genres from each other and I feel I’m blessed.” Reports are abuzz that the actors have already started training for the action drama.
‘Munjya’ is set to release on June 7. The flick sees Sharvari alongside Mona Singh and Abhay Verma.
