Who doesn’t remember Kareena Kapoor‘s iconic character Poo from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham? Fans not only adored how Bebo nailed the role but also admired her fashionable outfits. Recently, at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s sangeet night, Shloka Mehta channelled nostalgia and recreated the stunning peach lehenga inspired by Kareena’s iconic Bole Chudiyan look from K3G. Shloka wore three stunning outfits for the sangeet night, out of which, this look has piqued the internet’s interest. Have a look!
Divya Mehta slipped into Manish Malhotra’s archives and chose to take style inspiration from Kareena’s iconic Bole Chudiyan outfit to create a custom lehenga for badi bahu of the Ambani family. Divya shared pictures of her sister’s PHAT (Pretty Hot and Tempting) look on Instagram with the caption, “Looking PHAT! While conceptualising the sangeet look we wanted to go for something fun, elegant and “iconic”. After multiple rounds of discussions, we thought of dipping into the archives and recreated the OG @manishmalhotra05′ bole chudiyan’ look. It was an absolute blast.” Kareena Kapoor’s Bole Chudiya lehenga was so iconic that it was also a part of NMACC’s inaugural exhibition.
Shloka Mehta Recreates Kareena Kapoor’s ‘Bole Chudiyan’ Lehenga
Kareena in the song wore a coral blouse and palazzo set to dance on Bole Chudiyan. Inspired by this look, designer Manish Malhotra custom-designed a peach-coloured lehenga set for Shloka. The lehenga includes a cropped blouse with a jewelled one-shoulder neckline, backless detailing, resham and sequin embroidery and butterfly-adorned tassels on the hem.
Shloka paired her one-shoulder sleeved blouse with a matching A-line lehenga skirt, featuring floral resham embroidery, peach sequin embellishments, and a floor-sweeping length. She completed the gorgeous silhouette with an embroidered dupatta with tassels and resham work.
Luxurious jewels, including a diamond necklace, dangling earrings, bracelets and statement rings matched the vibe of her outfit. Shloka’s minimal dewy glam was perfect to seal the beauty deal. Lastly, she styled her hair in a ponytail for a glamorous finish.
