The Simple One Dot will be based on the same platform as the Simple One and will feature a fixed 3.7 kWh battery pack with 151 kilometres of certified range and 160km in IDC.The company has not revealed any details regarding the electric motor, it’s expected to get less powerful motor than the One’s unit.
In terms of design, the new Simple Dot One is expected to have the same design as the Simple One with minor cosmetic tweaks. The scooter might miss out on disc brakes but could get drum brakes with CBS. Talking about the suspension, it’s expected to get a telescopic unit at the front with a monoshock at the rear. Features in the new Simple Dot One include a touchscreen instrument cluster with app connectivity. Other expected features will include all LED lighting, navigation, Bluetooth integration with phone and message notifications and much more.
Talking about the Simple One, the EV gets a a 5kWh battery pack paired with an electric motor has a peak power output of 8.5kW and a continuous power output of 4.5kW. The company claims that the e-scooter can accelerate from 0 to 40kph in just 2.77 seconds, and it has a top speed of 105kmph. The Simple One has a claimed range of 212 km and it also gets four ride modes – Eco, Ride, Dash, and Sonic.
