And now, the company has started testing the SUV on our roads.Since the SUV was extensively covered, it’s hard to say anything about its new design. But its upright silhouette looks similar to the Kushaq SUV. But as mentioned before, the SUV will measure less than four metres in length.
The spied video shows, that the SUV will feature a split-headlight setup with the LED DRLs in the upper portion. It will get a sleek butterfly grille, similar to other Skoda models. Below it gets a bigger air dam featuring a honeycomb pattern. At the sides, again it looks very similar to Kushaq but with a shorter length and 16-inch steel wheels wrapped up in 205/60 tyres. At the rear, it gets a Kushaq-inspired tailgate with wraparound taillamps. Overall, the new compact SUV looks like a smaller version of the Skoda Kushaq with re-designed elements.
The spied video also gives us a peek inside but it’s not very clear. We can notice a free-standing touchscreen infotainment system which will likely be an 8.0-inch unit with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. Other expected features include a semi-digital cluster, automatic climate control, single-pane electric sunroof, multiple airbags, auto headlamps with wipers, rear AC vents, cruise control, rear camera with sensors and more.
Talking about the powertrain and gearbox, the new compact SUV is most likely to be powered by a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, turbo petrol engine with 115 hp of power and 178 nm of torque. Gearbox options will include a 6-speed torque converter and a 6-speed manual gearbox.
