Statement Released by Delta Goodrem’s Musician Partner following Major Announcement

The partner of Delta Goodrem has shared an emotional post after the Australian singing star made a surprise career announcement.

On Wednesday, Goodrem revealed that she was releasing new music via her own label, ATLED Records (ATLED is Delta spelled backwards).

“Here we go! My new song Back to Your Heart is now available to pre-save/pre-add, and comes out August 4th,” she wrote.

“It marks the beginning of a new era in more ways than one.

“What an epic way to share it with you all for the first time in a live performance, at one of the most incredible festivals in the world in Malta.”

And standing by her side in life, on stage, and in the creation of the new record label is her musician boyfriend Matthew Copley.

Posting a picture of the two of them on stage at the music festival in Valletta, he wrote: “Getting to play music anywhere is special for me, playing music anywhere with my love is even better, playing music with my love with my family in Malta was so incredible!”

“But yesterday’s performance was important for more reasons that,” he continued.

“With an incredible team around us that we could not do any of this without, Delta and I started ATLED Records and premiered the first song live on stage!

“What a day!!!!”

Copley’s followers loved the enthusiastic post.

“Congratulations!! Really special that you got to do it in Malta & with Delta,” one fan wrote, going on to note that they had once sat next to Copley on a flight.

“You told me about your family, your life & you had just started dating Delta,” the fan wrote, saying he seemed “besotted with Ms D”.

“I’m really happy it’s all come to fruition for you both,” they added.

“This is everything and more!! So so proud of you both!!” wrote another follower.

“Such an amazing achievement.”

“So proud of you both and all that you and Delta have achieved this year, much more to look forward to, can’t wait to celebrate this new chapter and journey with you, Delta and the rest of the band,” enthused another fan.

Goodrem was still a teenager when she first signed to major label Sony Records.

Her first album, Innocent Eyes, remains one of the highest-selling albums in Australian history.

In a post shared alongside a promo image for her new song Back to Your Heart, which showed Goodrem posing beside a piano in latex pants and stiletto boots, the beloved songstress explained more about her radical decision to create her own label.

“No album or music I have ever made has come together the same way as the last,” Goodrem wrote.

“I have always been inspired by the creation of music, but also the ever-changing landscape of the industry.

“In these moments, it’s particularly thrilling to construct your own universe with like-minded individuals who have unwavering faith in you, just as you do in them.

“These are the hearts that will join you on the journey.”

Goodrem went on to tell fans she had “more projects in the works than ever before”, something which had surpassed her “wildest dreams”.

And she explained it had challenged her to “think outside the box and evaluate” how she wanted to continue sharing music.

“I would consider myself to be someone who has always run their own race and in these moments it is extremely exciting to be able to set up your own music world!” Goodrem wrote.

“Having ownership of my music in an industry that is constantly evolving is an incredible feeling and fuels my artistry and business ventures.

“I feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude towards the incredible community that has supported me for over two decades. But times have changed and so have I.
