“First week back at @sunriseon7,” she wrote on Friday.

“New hair.

“Tommy started daycare.

“Nicked a tree from work.

“Returned to Pilates after a four year hiatus.

“Ate cake.

“Watched others eat Nutella pizza during news.

“Fond farewell to @mdhealey (Sunrise floor manager Mitchell Healey) as he heads off on an OS adventure.

“Heeerrre we goooo 2024.”

Eddy’s photos included a snap of the new haircut, her children Tommy and Molly holding hands, a pile of makeup next to a slice of chocolate cake and the aforementioned “stolen tree” sitting next to her handbag.

She did not elaborate on the circumstances around the tree, which appeared to be a disassembled Christmas tree, leaving fans guessing.

There’s also a delightful photo of Nat Barr and Matt Doran scoffing Nutella pizza and Eddy wearing a fetching socks-and-sandals combo.

Her followers loved the little snippets of daily life.

“Love it — perfect brand positioning … near MY favourite things! Chocolate cake! 😍😂🙌,” one fan wrote, referring to the makeup-and-cake photo.

“Bring on 2024!”

“That cake segment 😛 Love Pilates too, it’s such a feel good exercise,” said another.

“Molly and Tom are the most adorable children!” noted a third.

One follower wanted to know about Eddy and Nat’s wardrobe.

“Can someone at Sunrise go back to detailing the outfits you and Nat wear?” they asked.

“Love to know sometimes what brand they are!”

“Good to have you all back,” said another Instagram follower.

Others said they were looking forward to seeing how Eddy and husband Neil Varcoe’s restoration of an historic hotel in Carcoar, in rural NSW, unfolded in 2024.

The couple announced last year that they were going to be working on getting the hotel, formerly called The Victoria 1846, back up and running.

“Great achievements, good to see you back … you forgot ongoing renovation in Carcoar!!” one fan reminded Eddy.

“Have a happy year. Looking forward to seeing your new project come together,” added a second.

On Thursday, Eddy shared a not-so-glamorous behind the scenes video of how looks could be deceiving on TV.

In a video shared to Instagram, Eddy looked fabulous in a white blouse and long black skirt, so a crew member requested a 360-degree “twirl” to see the full look.

But when Eddy turned around, she revealed that her blouse was pegged at the back with numerous bulldog clips and all manner of audio equipment was tucked into the waistband of her skirt.

“I’m stitched up!” she exclaimed.

Fans loved the post, which seemed to sum up the two different sides of being on TV — glamour at the front, hard work going on behind the scenes.

“Hahahhahaha Eddy! 😂,” one fan wrote.

“Keeping it real and I love it!” enthused another.

“Love the glamour,” noted a third.

“Smoke and mirrors, as they say.”
