DUBAI: Studio Ghibli’s specialty shop chain Donguri Kyowakoku announced that it will be bringing back all past movie posters and program booklets for fans.

Studio Ghibli’s movies are well-known for their detailed animations and artworks, which is why their posters are very sought after.

In Japan, movie theatres usually have gifts shops in their lobbies selling merchandise, including posters, for the movies currently being played.

With some fans not getting to see all of Ghibli’s movies, it is now an opportunity to complete their poster collections with this re-release.

Donguri Kyowakoku announced the release through its official X (formerly Twitter) account, with the first poster for The Boy and the Heron arriving in stores on July 1, while the rest of the Ghibli posters on July 3.

In addition, the theatrical program booklets, featuring artwork and commentary, for all Ghibli films are being reprinted too.

The posters are each priced at 1,320 yen (US$8.25), and the programs 1,100 yen (with the exception of the Boy and the Heron and Earwig and the Witch programs, which are only 820 yen).

The posters and programs will only be available at select branches of the chain.
