Conan Gray, an indie pop star and Gen Z cultural icon, has been added to Outside Lands lineup, with a set on Saturday, August 12th.
Originally from Lemon Grove, California, Gray began promoting himself on YouTube where he gained a passionate following. Gray’s biggest song to date — 2020’s “Heather” — was a pandemic hit, amassing over 1.3 billion streams on Spotify. His rapid rise earned the attention of Olivia Rodridgo and Taylor Swift.
His two full-length studio albums have cracked the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 and his journey from internet sensation to heartthrob earned Gray comparisons to Justin Beiber.

Representatives for the artist strongly hinted that Gray will debut a new single “winner” during his Outside Lands performance.
Gray performs 7 p.m. at the Twin Peaks Stage on Saturday, creating a timing conflict with Maggie Rogers, who will be at the Lands End Stage at approximately the same time. Saturday is shaping up to be the biggest day of the festival; in addition to Gray and Rogers, the lineup features Father John Misty, Lana Del Rey and the Foo Fighters on Saturday.
