This will be the 11th annual walk, championed by the Grease star before her death in August 2022 following a protracted battle with cancer.

Lattanzi shared the news on Instagram, posting a heartfelt video inviting her followers to join the event which aims to raise funds for cancer research.

“I would so love to see all of you there and please bring your puppies!” she said.

“Hope to see you all there! With love, light, and gratitude, Chloe!”

Born in 1986 from Newton-John’s first marriage to actor Matt Lattanzi, Chloe is Newton-John’s only child.

The 2024 walk will embrace an ‘80s retro theme, aptly named Let’s Get Physical in homage to Newton-John’s iconic 1981 hit song.

Participants are encouraged to dress in vintage ‘80s outfits to match the theme, with this year’s walk set to begin at Melbourne’s Alexandra Gardens.

International supporters can also sign up to contribute to the cause, which supports free wellness programs at the ONJ Cancer Wellness and Research Centre in Heidelberg, Victoria.

Newton-John, who battled the disease for 20 years, passed away at age 73 after first being diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992.

After successful treatments and remissions, her cancer recurred in 2013 and 2017.

The Olivia Newton-John Wellness and Research Centre, which opened in 2012, has since provided invaluable support to many.

It comes after Lattanzi opened up to People magazine about grief, loss and feeling her mother’s presence in unusual ways to mark one year since her death.

“Two weeks after she passed, my phone accidentally took a picture of my dog, and there floating by his head was a little blue orb, the same colour as this,” Lattanzi said in 2023, referring to an aquamarine necklace she was wearing.

The pendant had been given to Newton-John by her husband John Easterling.

Just before she died, the Grease singer and actress handed it down to her daughter.

“Mum and I had talked years back. We’d watch these paranormal shows and I’d say, ‘You gotta show up for me’,” Lattanzi explained.

“And she was like, ‘I’ll show up as one of those orb things’.”
