Sydney traffic delays after multi-car crash on M2

Three people are in hospital after one car flipped in a multi-car crash, causing traffic delays on a major Sydney motorway.

At least three vehicles crashed on the M2 Mwy at Macquarie Park on Thursday morning, with the impact flipping one of the vehicles on its side.

NSW Ambulance said paramedics arrived just before 8am and took three people, including a woman in her 40s, to Royal North Shore Hospital.

The extent of their injuries is not yet clear.

Two citybound lanes were shut near Delhi Rd just before 8am as emergency and traffic crews attended the crash.

All lanes have since reopened and the crash has cleared, however, motorists are advised to continue to allow for extra travel time as traffic remains heavy.
