Taapsee Pannu has been a prominent presence at the Paris Olympics 2024, showcasing her unique style in quirky sarees while supporting her husband, Mathias Boe. Boe, a former badminton player and coach for Indian players Chirag Shetty and Satwiksai Raj Rankireddy, recently announced his retirement from coaching following the players’ exit from the tournament.
Mathias Boe took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message.Accompanied by a picture of himself with Shetty and Raj Rankireddy, he expressed his empathy and pride for the athletes. “I know the feeling all too well myself. Pushing yourself to the limit every day, to be in the best shape of your life, and then things don’t go as you would have hoped for. I know you guys are gutted, I know how much you wanted to bring a medal back to India, but this time it wasn’t meant to be,” Boe wrote.
Two ace players of the Boe exited the international tournament and despite that Mathias’ message was filled with encouragement and praise for the players’ dedication. He highlighted their hard work and perseverance, especially in overcoming injuries and enduring pain during their training. “But you have everything to be proud of, how hard you have worked in this Olympics camp, battling injuries, even taking injections to reduce the pain, that is dedication, that is passion, and that is a lot of Heart. You have won so much over the past years and you are going to win so much more in the future,” Boe added.

He then announced his retirement from coaching, citing the need for a change after spending so much time in the badminton hall. “For me, my coaching days end here. I’m not going to continue in India or anywhere else, for now at least. I have spent too much time in a badminton hall and it’s also pretty stressful to be a coach. I’m a tired old man,” he stated.
