DJI, the world’s leading drone manufacturer and majority stakeholder in the famous Swedish photography brand Hasselblad, has unveiled its first concept retail store in North America. The store, located on Fifth Avenue in New York City, is built as a welcoming space for visual creators and storytellers.
The concept store sports a futuristic design for its exterior storefront and interior space, with heavy use of aluminum composite and white oak finishes. DJI bills it as an ultramodern and minimalist space, a “blank canvas to inspire creativity.”
Whereas sometimes “concept” means that something isn’t real, DJI’s “concept store” is very real. It is a genuine storefront in every sense. The concept in question is more the company’s core concept about visual storytelling and content creation.
The store will showcase the latest DJI drones and creative camera technologies, including drones, action cameras, and gimbals. Featured products include the new Ronin 4D-8K, Osmo Pocket 3, and DJI Mini 4 Pro, alongside the latest DJI Mavic, Air, Avata, Inspire, and FVP drone series UAVs. (LINKS)
Alongside offering products for sale, the DJI store promises education, inspiration, and customer support. It will be a stop-and-go location for hardware repairs, promising a swift 48-hour turnaround. The store also offers 60-day no-questions-asked returns on its products.
“From professional filmmakers and photographers to enthusiasts, DJI’s innovative camera drones and handheld products have become industry standards. We continue to see growing consumer demand throughout North America as we expand our consumer product portfolio,” says Christina Zhang, Senior Director of Corporate Strategy at DJI. “With the opening of our Fifth Avenue concept store, we’re creating a space for our customers to learn, discover and shop.”
DJI’s Fifth Avenue concept store will officially open its doors to customers tomorrow, March 5, at 10 AM local time. The first 100 customers will receive a special promotional gift. Further, customers will get a gifted DJI accessory (select items only) for the first two days with their purchase.
The store is located at 685 Fifth Avenue, between E 54th Street and E 53rd Street. The store is open from 10 AM to 8 PM on Tuesdays through Sundays and 11 AM to 7 PM on Mondays.
The new DJI Concept Store in New York City marks the company’s first foray into direct-to-customer retail in North America, but is far from DJI’s first retail store. The company has numerous retail stores around the world, including its flagship shop in Beijing.
