Tata Punch iCNG Unveiled in India: Features Twin-Cylinder Technology, Priced at Rs 7.10 lakh

Tata Motors today finally launched the highly anticipated Punch iCNG in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 7.10 lakh (ex-showroom). Similar to the Altroz iCNG in May 2023, the Tata Punch iCNG gets twin-cylinder technology and is available in three variants – Pure, Adventure, and Accomplished. Tata Punch iCNG: Twin-cylinder technology
The Tata Punch iCNG gets twin cylinders of 30-litres each located below the luggage ensures a boot space of 210 litres. The enhanced rear body structure and 6 point mounting system for the CNG tanks provide additional rear crash safety for the Punch iCNG, says the company. Tata Punch iCNG gets advanced single ECU and direct start in CNG mode.
Tata Punch iCNG: Engine
Powering the Tata Punch iCNG is a 1.2-litre three-cylinder Revotron petrol engine, producing a peak power of 86 hp and a max torque of 113 Nm. It churns out a peak power of 72 hp @ 6,000 rpm and a max torque of 103 Nm @ 3,230 rpm in CNG mode. The CNG variant is paired with a five-speed AMT gearbox only.
Tata Punch iCNG: Safety features
The Tata Punch iCNG has received a micro-switch to keep the car switched off at the time of refuelling and iTPMS. Furthermore, it gets thermal incident protection, where the CNG supply to the engine is automatically cut off and the gas in the cylinder is released automatically.

Tata Punch iCNG: Exterior
The top-spec variant of the Tata Punch iCNG comes equipped with automatic projector headlamps, LED DRLs, rain sensing wipers, a shark fin antenna and 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. Moreover, the SUV gets iCNG badging over the tailgate.
Tata Punch iCNG: Interior
The Tata Punch iCNG comes equipped with a voice-enabled electric sunroof, USB C type charger, front seat armrest, a 7.0-inch infotainment system by Harman with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a height-adjustable driver seat, and one-touch up driver window. The petrol variants of the Tata Punch are now available with voice-enabled electric sunroof.
