Teenager stabbed multiple times on bus at Ingleburn in Sydney’s southwest

A teenager was stabbed multiple times on a bus in Sydney’s southwest earlier this week, with another man now charged with attempted murder.

The 18-year-old was stabbed on board the bus in front of other passengers in Ingleburn about 1.15pm on Wednesday.

The bus then stopped at a bus stop at the intersection of Sackville St and Barff Rd.

The teen sustained approximately 30 stab wounds in the alleged attack.

Paramedics treated him at the bus stop before taking him to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition.

He is now is a serious but stable condition.

A 22-year-old man, known to the younger man, has been charged with attempted murder.

7NEWS understands the two men boarded the bus at different stops before the alleged attack.

He was arrested at a bus stop on Eucalyptus Drive, Macquarie Fields about 3pm on Thursday.

He was refused bail and is scheduled to appear in Campbelltown Local Court on Friday.
