In 2018, the BRS’s Koneru Konappa secured triumph with a substantial margin of over 24,036 votes, defeating Congress’s Palvai Harish Babu. Konappa received more than 83,088 votes, while Babu secured 59,052 votes, resulting in a vote percentage of 50.57 percent. The saffron party’s Dr. Kottapelli Srinivas received 6,279 votes, securing the third position.
