Elon Musk-led electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla has launched an updated Model 3 in North America. The EV maker took to its X (formerly known as Twitter) handle to announce that the model has been launched, without any changes in the existing prices.
The electric vehicle manufacturer has silently discontinued the ‘performance’ variant of the electric sedan from its North American websites, with only the rear-wheel drive and long-range versions now on sale. The current price for the Model 3’s rear-wheel drive variant is $38,990, while the long-range trim, which gets an enhanced range of 341 miles, is priced at $45,990.
In 2023, Tesla introduced the first facelift of the Model 3 sedan since its debut in 2017. The refreshed model was initially rolled out in China during the summer and subsequently exported to other regions, including Europe.
What has changed?
Besides the enhanced range, the exterior of the EV receives a sleek redesign, featuring slimmer LED headlights, fresh LED DRLs, and C-shaped tail lights for a refreshed look. Despite a few tweaks here and there, the overall design and structure of the sedan remains more or less the same albeit with changes made to make it more aerodynamically advanced.
