Thalapathy Vijay starrer ‘Leo’ DEFEATS ‘Beast’, emerges as his highest grosser in US! | Hindi Movie News

Fans are always eager to enjoy Thalapathy Vijay on the big screen and his box office success is proof of it. Within just four days of trailer release, the advance booking of Leo: Bloody Sweet started in the USA and it has already beaten his highest premiere collection record, set by Beast. Leo has already crossed $670,913 ( Rs 5.5 crore ) for its premiere show. Beast had collected about $415000 for its opening day which was Vijay’s highest score and before that, the position was held by Mersal, which had grossed $407000 for its USA premiere.
Tickets are currently being sold at 377 locations in the USA and about 924 shows have been planned for now and more than 29000 tickets have been sold across Tamil and Telugu. As far as the Hindi version is concerned, only one show opened a few days ago. In the USA the film is being shown in multiple formats from 2D to XD to IMAX and a very recent format RPX where movies are shown with uncompressed surround sound and bright eye-popping images in 2D and RealD 3D.

The 2-minute 43-second trailer of Leo offers a glimpse into the film’s narrative, showcasing Lokesh Kanagaraj‘s directorial prowess in crafting intense action sequences and Vijay doing what he does best – action! Vijay will be seen playing a double role in the film, while Lokesh has still kept the details of his second character a secret.
Leo stars Thalapathy Vijay, Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Gautam Vasudev Menon and Anurag Kashyap and it is carrying a lot of buzz and excitement for multiple reasons. One being, it brings back the pair of Vijay and director Lokesh Kanagaraj after the success of ‘Master’. It is also one rare film where three directors Anurag Kashyap, Gautam Menon and Mysskin are dacing the camera as actors. Leo is also a part of Lokesh’s Cinematic Universe wherein the filmmaker plans to bring together projects like Karthi’s Kaithi and Kamal Haasan’s Vikram.
