Thalapathy Vijay, one of the country’s biggest superstars, is set to transition into politics. Before concluding his acting career, he has two more films lined up, including Prabhu Venkat’s The Greatest of All Time (GOAT), which is scheduled for release on 5th September.
The advance booking of the film is yet to begin in India, but given the high demand, the ticket were put on sale in the United Kingdom a month before the release date.And, the film has been receiving a lot of positive buzz without much promotion. As per Star South, the film has minted nearly Rs 40 lakh ( 37, 846 pounds) for its day 1 from sale of nearly 4800 tickets, and there are still 24 days left for the release.
The film is getting the widest release for a Tamil film ever in the kingdom, and for now, all IMAX screens have already been booked for the film. At present, the booking for Tamil version is leading with Telugu and Hindi following the pack.
Like how North America is considered to be one of the biggest markets for Telugu and Hindi films outside of India, the United Kingdom is considered to be a big market for Tamil films, or rather Thalapathy Vijay films. His last release Leo: Bloody Sweet with Lokesh Kanagaraj, had also done record collection in the sector.
The film will see Vijay in a dual role once again, it also features Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Jayaram, Sneha, Laila, Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, Ajmal Ameer, Manobala, Vaibhav, Premgi, Ajay Raj, and Aravind Akash.
