For her wedding wardrobe, Anisha collaborated with the Indian designer Tarun Tahiliani and Syrian designer Rami Al Ali. “With Tarun, I wanted a classic yet modern look, which I think they nailed,” she says. “We went back and forth for months FaceTiming with Tarun and his team ideating on panels and different beadwork to create the perfect wedding day look.”

The bride initially gravitated towards nude and gold tones, but ultimately, she ended up choosing a soft blush gold. “My parents were both involved in the process, and we iterated on each embroidered section to ensure that both from up close and afar it would look amazing,” she says. “After coming up with the final design, we worked with Samir Kashwal of Gem Palace Jaipur to pick unique jewelry pieces to complete the look. I wanted to balance the blush tones with emeralds and rose cut diamonds. When Samir brought the necklace out, I immediately knew it was the one.”

Anisha had been following Rami Al Ali for quite some time and knew she loved his designs, intricate beadwork, as well as his attention to detail and structure. “When I was in Dubai I happened to make a last minute appointment, which quickly turned into designing the most beautiful dresses with him,” Anisha says. “I wanted to wear something during my wedding week that was not traditional and a real fashion statement, and Rami hit it out of the park.”

On the first night of the wedding weekend, Anisha wanted to wear something that would flow with the breeze and stand out against the green decor. “This was definitely one of my favorite fashion moments from the weekend,” Anisha says. “The balance of gold and green and the structure and flow gave off that old Hollywood glamor feel.” For the events of the final evening, however, Anisha wanted to go all out, deciding to wear three different dresses by Rami Al Ali. For the cocktail event, she chose a beautiful white and gold beaded dress that mirrored the ambiance of the wedding decor. Next, she wore a particularly special custom gown with structure, beading, softness, but also a lot of drama—everything she wanted for the reception.

Finally, her after-party dress was a fun lime green mini dress. “I remember walking into their showroom and Reem Al Ali opening a closet and my eyes being immediately drawn to this dress,” Anisha says. “There was something about this green with the gold and the cut that I fell in love with. Indian weddings are all about color, and with our reception being so classic, I wanted to bring the same fun energy on the dance floor incorporated into my outfit.”

And while the fashion certainly was a focal point throughout the weekend, the joy and adrenaline the couple felt during the Sunday ceremony was paramount. “This was such a special moment,” Arjun says. “The two of us, with all the people we care about, in such an extraordinary place. It felt like a movie where we were somehow the main characters. Anisha and I like to talk about the ‘small moments’ in our lives that we should treasure, and this felt like an exciting culmination of those moments.”

After the ceremony, the newlyweds made sure to make time for a few minutes alone. “One thing that was important to us was to have a quiet moment to ourselves after the ceremony and before the cocktail hour began,” Arjun explains. “We popped a bottle of champagne then ate lunch together, telling each other stories about each of our sides of the day.”

“Looking back on our wedding week I wouldn’t have changed a thing,” Anisha says. “It was truly a dream—one that we will always hold a special place in our hearts.”
