The Finals update 1.4.1 is out now on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. While it’s not the biggest update in terms of gameplay tweaks and new features, update 1.4.1 does make one or two crucial improvements based on fan feedback. Indeed, according to developer Embark Studios, update 1.4.1 makes a variety of bug fixes, while also improving aim assist and fair play features. An even bigger update will be available to download next week, complete with brand new gameplay additions and security fixes.

Embark Studios explains more: “These changes are the result of an in-depth review of how aim assist works — something we’ve only been able to validate with a player base as large as ours (thanks so much for playing our game, yolks!).

“We have another bigger update in the works for next week, with a major security fix and some new exciting content, so stay tuned for that!”

As for the Aim Assist update, Embark will now ignore invisible players, fixing a bug with the existing system.

Likewise, Camera Magnetism is reduced to 35% from 50%, while Zoom Snapping Time is cut from 0.3s to 0.25s.
