The trailer begins with Vicky, who is seen introducing his character as Bhajan Kumar and his family who does pooja, and katha. They are Brahmins and have a good name in the society.
However, as the trailer advances, there is a twist in the story. Vicky comes to know that he belongs to a Muslim family. How the Tripathi family handles the situation remains the crux of the story.
Earlier, the makers had unveiled the first track of the film, ‘Kanhaiya Twitter Pe Aaja’ which received decent responses from the fans. Sung by Nakash Aziz, the song is penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya and composed by Pritam.
The film also stars Yashpal Sharma, Sadiya Siddiqui, Alka Amin, Srishti Dixit, Bhuvan Arora, Aasif Khan, Ashutosh Ujjwal and Bharti Perwani in pivotal roles. It is all set to hit the theatres on September 22.
Apart from ‘The Great Indian Family’, Vicky will also be seen in director Meghna Gulzar‘s next ‘Sam Bahadur‘ which showcases the story of India’s war hero and first Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw.
