
The booking amount for the new Exter is set at Rs 11,000 and the customers interested can book the car online or by visiting their nearest dealership. The micro SUV is available in five trims – EX, S, SX, SX(O) and SX(O) Connect and the price starts from Rs 6 lakh and goes up to 10 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom).

The Hyundai Exter is one of the most feature-loaded micro SUVs in the segment, taking on the likes of Tata Punch, Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Citroen C3, Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger.
In terms of features, the Exter gets an electric sunroof, an 8-inch floating infotainment system, connected car tech, a wireless charger, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, digital cluster, a factory-fitted dashcam with dual cameras (front and rear), automatic projector headlamps, automatic climate control, in-built navigation, voice-activated commands in multiple languages, over-the-air (OTA) updates and so on.

The safety tech on offer includes six airbags as standard across all variants, ESC, hill assist control, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors and camera, three-point seatbelt and seatbelt reminders for all seats, and ISOFIX anchorages.
The Hyundai Exter is powered by a 1.2-litre NA 4-cyl petrol engine that produces 83hp and 114Nm of peak torque. Gearbox options include either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT with paddle shifters. The Exter also gets a CNG option which comes paired with a 5–speed manual only.

Hyundai claims a fuel economy of 19.4 kmpl for the manual and 19.2 kmpl for the AMT. The CNG variant offers a fuel economy of 27.10 km/kg. Colour options will include 6 Monotone and 3 Dual tones including 2 new & Exclusive colours – Cosmic Blue, and Ranger Khaki which are also available with Dual tone colour options.
