The Kodak x Brava Collab is Filled with Retro, Analog-Themed Clothes

Brava Fabrics collaborated with Kodak to bring a line of analog and retro-inspired clothes that range from socks and hats to t-shirts, sweaters, and button ups.

Brava Fabrics is a Barcelona, Spain-based clothing brand that has a focus on sustainable and responsible manufacturing. The company also says that it only sources sustainable, certified fibers and works closely with factories to ensure fair working conditions.

“At Brava, we believe that fashion should never come at the cost of our planet. That’s why we are committed to sustainability every step of the way. From eco-friendly materials to responsible production practices, we make sure every step of our product journey meets all sustainable and social standards,” the company says.

Its clothes feature a range of patterns from artists through major brands and it has collaborated with the likes of Playmobil, Where’s Wally, Snoopy, and Dragon Ball as well as media partnerships with E.T., Jurassic Park, Back to The Future, Jaws, Knight Rider, and Miami Vice. That said, its collaboration with Kodak is perhaps the most emblematic of its general “vibe” of nostalgia and vintage-inspired clothing.

Originally launched last December, the Kodak collaboration has been recently re-stocked, bringing with it a new Kodak logo sweatshirt (featuring a shag rug-like texture). That new item joins two different sock options that feature the Kodak logo as well as multiple styles of t-shirt, a pullover sweatshirt, and a hat.

The company goes a step further with some of its button-up shirt designs, though, and doesn’t just rely on the Kodak logo but instead patterns the whole garment with classic Kodak film boxes. From a distance, these shirts might not look like anything other than a pattern but up close, photographers will immediately recognize the likes of Kodacolor amd Ektachrome film.

As might be expected, the collaboration and Brava’s manufacturing standards result in clothing that sits at the higher-end of the price scale, but many might see it as a fair ask for what are certain to be conversation starters.

Brava operates three brick-and-mortar stores in Madrid, Barcelona, and Palma De Malorca but ships all over the world through its online store. Its Kodak collection can be browsed here.
