The video had been shared as a warning by a Melbourne woman who was holidaying on Hamilton Island when some of the boisterous birds broke into her hotel room.
The “aftermath” showed how her room had been turned upside down, with her bikini bottoms later found on the roof of the hotel car park.
“A couple of crazy cockatoos have run riot inside a Hamilton Island hotel room,” Larry said as the TikTok footage played.
“The brazen birds left behind a trail of destruction after two holiday-goers left their balcony door open.
“The cockies pulled clothes from suitcases, rummaged through food and messed up all over the beds.”
Kylie added that “the missing bikini bottoms were found a little later on the roof of an adjacent building”.
“Wow,” Larry simply remarked.
“Alright, I’ve been there,” Kylie said, referring to Hamilton Island.
“There are actually big signs on the doors that say, ‘Do not leave your doors open because of the birds’.”
Seeing an opportunity, Larry cheekily questioned, “Have you ever had a cockatoo in your hotel room?”
Kylie smiled and then went quiet, appearing completely lost for words.
