It’s no secret that when it comes to fashion weeks, men’s week is the place to be now. As oversized blazers, pleated trousers, and a strong loafer game reign supreme in the womenswear space, it’s no wonder some of the best-dressed women are traipsing the streets between the Prada and Gucci men’s shows. Sure, the usual well-suited suspects of men’s week like GQ editor Sam Hine, Brooklyn Beckham, and even Jonathan Anderson himself top the list of overall best-dressed. But as the fashion crowd migrates from Milan to Paris, we spotted a handful of noteworthy womenswear looks at men’s fashion week, too.
Among the leading looks were a few key winter trends—think shearling jackets, pinstripe blazers, and floor-sweeping wool coats. The crisp, January weather brought out a handful of bundled, layered ’fits, which took shape in the form of Khaite leather jackets and Prada coats, however, signs (or really, pleas) for spring were visible in the white, pointed-toe shoes.
Men’s week often serves a more subtle streetwear color palette of navy, black, greens, and beiges, but this season’s pop of red was certainly prominent—both on the street by way of red tights and on the runway, where the opening look at Prada featured a bright red swimming cap.
