What time is it? It’s time for a reality check. We’re halfway through summer already and you still have a project on jack stands sitting in the garage that you should have been working on instead of hanging out at the beach or sitting on your couch drinking beer in the air conditioning while watching the Dragon show on Max. I’m definitely not deflecting, I’m talking about you. Or, I guess I’m talking about former Donut Media wrench Zach Jobe, who has been looking at this engineless Nissan 240SX sitting in his driveway for four years. It’s time to do something about it.
Zach and his Donut co-worker Jeremiah Burton recently forged out on their own to start a new car fixing YouTube channel, and I have never subscribed to anything so fast in my life. These guys have been working on cool (and questionable) shit at Donut for a few years, and with recent, um, changes to the landscape of automotive media, they decided it was time to take matters into their own hands. The new channel is called Big Time, and you should absolutely be watching it. It’s just a couple of screwball buddies fixing shit up in a regular suburban Southern California two-car garage. That’s the real shit.
Some of us, I won’t name names, have too many cars, and don’t have enough time to knock out the projects we need to accomplish to get them back on the road. I’m slowly working through my stable, but I’ll be damned if I have enough time, space, or money to fix them all at the same time. With a YouTube channel to run, these guys needed some cool projects that you would all want to watch, so instead of the Donut method of dumping a ton of money into stuff and somehow making it worse, these guys are using tried and true methods of building neat cars that you might actually like to drive yourself. Would I want an RB-powered Nissan 240 drift car? Yeah, that sounds like a lot of fun.
