Dr. Choudhury explained that around 90% of stomach cancers have been associated with H. pylori, as it is able to survive in the acidic environment of the stomach. The mode of transmission is not completely clear, but he suggested that sharing food and water with infected individuals could potentially spread the bacteria. However, Dr. Choudhury reassured viewers not to panic, as not everyone who has H. pylori will develop stomach cancer. He recommended seeking medical advice if experiencing persistent gastric symptoms, as the infection can be treated with antibiotics and gastric medication. The video has garnered over 780,000 views, with many expressing newfound concerns and vowing to refrain from sharing food or water.
