This straightener was just voted the best flat iron of 2024. Here’s why you need it

When it comes to hair and looking after it, there are few people who know more than Anthony Nader.

The Sydney hairdresser has a client list boasting top models, celebrities and insiders, along with a sprawling salon in Surry Hills that is humming with customers.

Now, Anthony has turned his legendary hand towards hot tools, and developed a straightening iron that has been voted the “Best Flat Iron for 2024” by Prevention Australia.

The ltn wide styler, which sells on Sydney Salon Supplies for $220, features 38mm plates for thicker, coarser hair types and longer lengths, along with a customisable temperature somewhere between 100 and 230 degrees Celsius.

This means you can straighten or style your hair based on the amount of heat it requires to be styled, rather than just automatically going with the highest setting and frying your hair.

The straightener has a number of features that make it a godsend for shoppers, who have already awarded the new product five stars in reviews.

It has floating plates to adjust the pressure depending on the thickness of your hair, constant heat maintenance for consistent results and negative ions — which provide a sleek finish while being gentler on hair and sealing in essential moisture.

After trying this device myself at Anthony’s salon last week, I can personally attest to its powers for styling and taming my naturally curly hair.

Anthony showed me how the straightener can not only tame frizzy strands, but also be used to style my locks — creating a sleek and well-defined wave or curl.

Anthony paired the straightener with the use of Oribe’s Hydrating Shampoo ($77) and Conditioner ($82) that made my hair look effortless but hydrated and nourished.

He also used a gem of a product I hadn’t tried before, the Oribe Dry Heat Protection Spray ($75), which is a revolutionary dry spray providing heat protection from temperatures up to 232 degrees Celsius, while adding softness and a frizz-free finish on all hair types.

The results were impressive.
