Three killed in fiery two-vehicle crash in Milton

Three people were killed in a fiery two-vehicle collision in Milton early Saturday.

Halton Regional Police say the deadly crash unfolded in the intersection of Sixth Line and Derry Rd. around 3:20 a.m.

“Tragically, three individuals have been pronounced deceased at the scene,” police said in a statement issued Saturday.

The collision involving a Honda SUV and a two-door Infinity sedan reportedly caused both vehicles to burst into flames.

Police shut down Derry Rd., from Trafalgar Rd. to Fifth Line, while they investigated.

“Given the severity of the collision, the Collision Reconstruction Unit has assumed control of the investigation,” police said.

The names and ages of the victims have not been released and no further details were immediately available.

“The cause of the incident remains under investigation, and police are actively seeking witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage who may have been in the vicinity during the collision,” police said.
