Titas Sadhu from India included in Asian Games squad, Richa Ghosh makes a comeback | Cricket News

NEW DELHI: Young fast bowler Titas Sadhu on Friday was included in India’s formidable squad for the women’s cricket competition at the Asian Games, scheduled to take place from September to October.
The women’s cricket matches will be held at the Zhejiang University of Technology Pingfeng Cricket Field, with the tournament spanning from September 19 to 28.
Sadhu, a talented right-arm pacer, earned her place in the squad due to her impressive performances during India’s successful campaign in the inaugural U-19 Women’s World Cup held in South Africa.
The 18-year-old is not part of the Indian squad currently in Bangladesh.
Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the side with Smriti Mandhana as her deputy.
Rookie spinners Minnu Mani and Anusha Bareddy, who are in Bangladesh, have been included.
Wicketkeeper Richa Ghosh, who was dropped from Bangladesh tour on fitness grounds, is also back.
