World’s 1st Hybrid Ethanol Toyota Innova Hycross: Better than petrol | TOI Auto
The plant is expected to be operational by 2026 and a direct impact would be on Toyota customers who are looking to buy its popular models such as the Innova Hycross hybrid MPV. Once the plant is operational, the over 12 month waiting periods on models such as the Hycross and Hyryder are expected to come down, thanks to the added production capacity. That said, with nearly 3 years to go for the new plant’s opening, Toyota buyers might continue to experience long waiting periods for some time.
Since its arrival in India, the automaker has invested over Rs 16,000 crore and generated approximately 88,000 jobs across the value chain, including suppliers and dealer partners. Moreover, Toyota’s cumulative export contributions till date amount to an estimated Rs 30,000 crore. Overall, the company has sold over 2.3 million cars in the country from the Qualis, Corolla to the all-new Hycross, Rumion and more.
