The Taisor is expected to be offered in four trims – E, S, G and V. CNG-powered variant is also expected but at a later stage. When launched, the Taisor will compete with Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue and the upcoming Mahindra XUV 300.

Talking about the design first, the Taisor like other badge-engineered models in Toyota’s line-up will look identical to the Fronx except for a few changes. The car is expected to get a revised front grille with newly designed alloy wheels. It will also feature Toyota logos on the front grille and alloy wheels. At the rear, the company might do a few minor tweaks to the bumper and it will also get a Toyota badge on the tailgate with connecting LED tail lamps.
Inside, the Toyota Taisor will get an identical dashboard layout as the Fronx but it might get different upholstery and it will also feature the Toyota logo on the steering wheel.
In terms of features, it will get a free-standing 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Toyota Ui, semi-digital cluster, automatic climate control, connected car tech, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, 360-degree camera, heads-up display, cruise control, automatic LED headlamps with DRLs, 6-speaker sound system, Push button start/stop, Rear AC vents and more.
Talking about the engine and gearbox, the Taisor is expected to be offered with the same engine options as the Fronx. It includes a tried and tested 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder, NA petrol engine which puts out 90 hp of power and 113 Nm of torque, gearbox options will include a 5-speed manual or an AMT. Another engine is the 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine which puts out 100 hp of power and 147 nm of torque, gearbox options will include a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
