Triumph Speed 400 prices to be hiked from January 2024: Check new price

British two-wheeler manufacturer Triumphlaunched the Speed 400 back in July 2023. The company announced the introductory price of Rs 2.23 lakh (ex-showroom) for the first 10,000 customers. And now the company has announced the introductory prices will be valid only till December 31st, from 1 January 2024 onwards the bike will cost Rs 2.33 lakh (ex-showroom).Interested customers can book the bike online or tbh visiting their nearest dealership.

The Speed 400 is the first product to come from Triumph’s partnership with Bajaj in India and is the entry-level bike from the brand. In terms of design, the Speed 400 borrows its styling cues from the Speed Twin 900. It gets circular LED headlamps with DRLs and it gets a golden upside-down fork. The company describes the frame of the new Triumph Speed 400 as a hybrid spine/perimeter frame built from tubular steel. It gets a 13-litre of fuel tank and a big Triumph logo on top of it. The bike also gets LED indicators with LED taillamps.
The Triumph Speed gets 17-inch wheels at both ends, wrapped in Metzeler Sportec M9RR rubber. It gets a 43mm big-piston fork at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. The suspension has 140mm of travel at the front and 130mm at the rear. The Speed 400 weighs around 170 kg and has 790 mm of seat height. The bike gets a 300 mm front disc brake with Bosch dual-channel ABS.

Talking about the engine, the Speed 400 is powered by a liquid-cooled, 398cc, single-cylinder petrol engine which puts out 40hp at 8,000rpm and 37.5Nm at 6,500rpm. The engine is brand new and is christened the TR-series. The engine comes paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Triumph claims that the Speed 400 can do 0-60 kph in 2.8 seconds and 100 kmph is achieved in 7 seconds.

The bike gets a semi-digital instrument cluster. It gets a big analogue dial for speed and a digital display which puts out various information. Other features include switchable traction control, an immobiliser, an assist clutch, a USB-C charging port and ride-by-wire. Triumph is offering the 400 with a 2-year/unlimited mileage warranty and a 16,000 km service interval.
