A truck and train crash is causing traffic delays and commuter chaos for NSW motorists.

A freight train and truck crashed on a crossing at Maldon Bridge Rd, Maldon.

No one was injured in the crash.

The crash is affecting southbound traffic on Maldon Bridge Rd at Picton Rd.

Motorists should expect delays and are urged to drive to traffic conditions, Transport for NSW said.

Trucks are queuing on Picton Rd approaching Maldon Bridge Rd.

Transport for NSW confirmed no trains are running between Picton and Campbelltown on the Southern Highlands line.

Requested replacement buses are not yet in operation.

“Passengers are advised to delay their trip, make alternative arrangements or allow plenty of extra travel time,” Transport for NSW said.

“Passengers should also listen to announcements and check information displays for service updates.”

Trains are still running between Picton and Moss Vale/Goulburn but are not to timetable.
