Twitter Introduces Limit on DMs for Unverified Users: Here’s What You Should Know

Twitter has announced that it will limit the number of direct messages (DMs) that unverified accounts can send in an effort to reduce spam on the platform. Unverified accounts will now have daily limits on the number of DMs they can send, and to send unlimited DMs, users will need to subscribe to Twitter Blue. The specific daily limits have not yet been disclosed, but users can subscribe to Twitter Blue to send more messages. This comes after Twitter introduced a new direct message setting where messages from verified users who the user doesn’t follow are moved to a secondary “message request inbox”. Twitter is committed to maintaining free expression and making the platform a safe space for everyone, and will continue to remove violations of their rules. The subscription service, Twitter Blue, is available in India for a monthly fee of Rs 650 on the web and Rs 900 on mobile devices for individual user accounts.
